These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Sokol Construction website and any consultation you request through it. By using the site or submitting our form, you agree to these Terms.
1. About Sokol Construction
Sokol Construction (“Sokol,” “we,” “us”) is a family-owned general contractor serving the Portland / Vancouver metro area, specializing in new deck construction and outdoor living projects. We are licensed and insured in Oregon and Washington.
2. Consultations and estimates
Consultations and written estimates are offered at no cost and with no obligation. A consultation is an exploratory conversation about your project — it is not a binding contract. A project becomes binding only when both parties have signed a written construction contract and any required deposit has been received.
Estimates are valid for 90 days. Material prices, labor availability, and scope changes may require a revised estimate after that window.
3. Contact permission
When you submit our form or call us, you permit Sokol Construction to contact you — by phone or email — about your inquiry and related project details. We will not share your contact information with third-party marketers, lead brokers, or other contractors. You can withdraw permission at any time by telling us or by emailing sokolcustom@gmail.com.
4. Your responsibility for accuracy
The information you give us (project type, timeline, address, contact info) must be accurate. Estimates and timelines are based on what you tell us; materially incorrect or misleading information will void the estimate.
5. Website content
Content on this site — photos, copy, design — is either owned by Sokol Construction or used with permission, and is provided for informational purposes only. You may not copy, reproduce, or use the content for any commercial purpose without our written permission. Testimonials and reviews are from real customers; individual results depend on project specifics.
6. Acceptable use
When using the site, you agree that you will not:
- submit false, misleading, or automated form entries;
- attempt to probe, scan, or exploit the site's infrastructure;
- use any content from the site in ways that misrepresent our services or customers;
- violate any applicable law while using the site.
7. Third-party links and services
The site may link to third-party websites (e.g., Angi reviews) or rely on third-party services (hosting, form delivery, analytics). We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of those third parties.
8. Disclaimers
The site is provided “as is” and “as available.” We make no warranties, express or implied, about the site's availability, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose. Any warranties on construction work we perform are governed by the written construction contract between us and the customer — not by this website.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Sokol Construction will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the website — including lost profits or lost data — even if we were advised of the possibility of such damages. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for (a) personal injury caused by our negligence, (b) fraud, or (c) any liability that cannot legally be excluded.
10. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising from the site will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Multnomah County, Oregon. Disputes arising from an actual construction project are governed by the terms of that project's construction contract.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll update the effective date at the top, and for material changes we'll post a notice on the homepage. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the revised Terms.
